Sweet Home Alabama Farewell

May in pictures...our farewell Bama tour. Minus Seattle because that was one of our best vacations ever and deserves it's own post! For now, enjoy the pictures and I'll see you over at the new spot once it's up and running!

It was great to have so many people come in on the last morning just to say thank you!
Not to mention we sold about $2500 in merchandise in two hours!

That's a Wrap

I am SO thankful that I was able to take a week off from home life and spend a week traveling to PA. Originally I thought I'd just be helping him pack out of his room to come back to 'Bama but the Warriors had other plans for finals week.  Their plan was a semifinal playoff game AND a trip to the championship. It didn't end the way we had all hoped but it sure was an awesome ride!

And not to mention, Maxwell finished the semester with a 3.92. There's that.
Third seeded Lyco Warriors headed to the playoffs!

The playoff beard was supposed to be blonde...
...it just turned ginger though...
Grit and Gratitude has been the mantra for the Warriors this year...
it seemed fitting for Maxwell before the Messiah game
Semifinal Game at Messiah College...

Lyco with the win on Messiah's home field followed by prayer with both teams.
Total class act.
Premo #35 and Hanson #2
Freshman teammates and roommates next year
The BEST GAME EVER!!!
Have I said that before??! This one really was though!
For the first time in 14 years!!
Warming up at Stevenson

It was a hard loss but dang do these boys have a lot to be proud of.
There were a few tears shed after the game but there was just as much excitement about the future!
#14 and #2...freshman roommates...they survived it!
Packed up and ready for 16 hours of driving...at least I was.
Maxwell had gotten zero sleep the night before
A homecoming that only Viv could think up!
Surprising Viv at the bus stop...she cried...of course
Having them all under one roof is the best feeling in the world right now

And just some highlights from throughout the season...

This was at the Stevenson game...
I'm right above Maxwell's helmet, hanging over the rail on the edge on my seat!

That's a wrap!
There were highs and lows and
God knows there were lots and lots of prayers, but we did it.
We got a kid through his freshman year of college AND came out stronger as a family.
Makes me pretty proud.
