Vivian Jayne Hanson

There hasn't been a person in the history of the world that gets more excited about their birthday than Vivian Jayne Hanson!

She is full of life, every single day. She is quick witted and sassy and sweet. She is adventurous and curious. She has never met a stranger. She loves quickly and laughs easily. She is full of faith in everything she does and in everything she says. She really is a child of the world and blooms where she is planted. Vivian isn't perfect, but she is perfect for us.

Happy birthday, sweet little girl. The world is yours for the taking; just go get it. I love you and am lucky to walk this road with you side by side.

Maxwell Goes to College

Last week was a whirlwind! I haven't quite wrapped my mind around everything and I'm not ready to write everything down either. It's still pretty heavy. BUT I will say that Maxwell and I had a lot of fun together - big ups and downs and lots of emotion - but we also laughed a ton. Spending the week with him (even though neither of us was sure I'd actually leave!) was the perfect way to prepare for the "see ya later".

Soon I'm sure I'll be ready to put the week into words, but until then here are the pictures...
Lyco or bust

After the 2 day drive, our first stop was the field

Maxwell's home away from home...Asbury Hall

The actual move-in was pretty quick and painless

Shopping with a college kid

My last night in town we caught a Little League World Series game

Knowing it was time to go to the airport I made myself comfortable.
This is the snap chat Maxwell sent to Henry - LOL!
Roomies
One last picture and one last hug
I think this was the hardest part of the whole week.
I had no idea that going 'wheels up' in Pennsylvania would hit me like it did.
I looked out and realized my kid was somewhere down there.
Leaving him behind didn't feel right, but I know that he's exactly where he belongs.
