Maxwell Goes to College

Last week was a whirlwind! I haven't quite wrapped my mind around everything and I'm not ready to write everything down either. It's still pretty heavy. BUT I will say that Maxwell and I had a lot of fun together - big ups and downs and lots of emotion - but we also laughed a ton. Spending the week with him (even though neither of us was sure I'd actually leave!) was the perfect way to prepare for the "see ya later".

Soon I'm sure I'll be ready to put the week into words, but until then here are the pictures...

I think this was the hardest part of the whole week.

 I had no idea that going 'wheels up' in Pennsylvania would hit me like it did.

 I looked out and realized my kid was somewhere down there. 

Leaving him behind didn't feel right, but I know that he's exactly where he belongs.
