Beach Days

Last weekend we decided to take a fairly impromptu trip to the beach. Last time we went to an Alabama beach and Vivian got stung by a jellyfish. This time we went to a Florida beach and there were not jellyfish in sight, BUT she did get a trip to urgent care thanks to Alabama fire ants right before we left. Up next?? Locusts, the plague maybe??

Anyhow, the weekend was beautiful! Perfect weather and now I know why the coastline there is referred to as the Emerald Coast. It was gorgeous and we had the beach pretty much to ourselves! This was our first weekend away as "Hanson Party of Four", and I think we're all still getting used to the change in family dynamic with Maxwell at school. I miss him terribly but it's also comforting to know that life goes on, and even though we're missing one right now we're still pretty great.
We stayed across the bridge at the Maxwell-Gunter Military Lodging cabins.
This was the bay view from our cabin
